Featured MakerSpace Activity: Black Out Poetry

  • Date: 04/01/2025 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM
To celebrate National Poetry Month, head on over to the MakerSpace and give Blackout Poetry a try. Never heard of it? Blackout poetry, also known as erasure poetry, is a type of found poetry that involves erasing words from an existing text to create a new poem.

Come by the library and have a go! Materials will be available all month long at the Whittier Public Library. We'll set you up with all the tools and supplies that you'll need. Ages 13 & up and while supplies last!

Visit the MakerSpace at the Central or the NEW! Whittwood Branch Library to do our Featured MakerSpace Activity.

MakerSpace hours of availability are 10am - 4pm, Monday through Saturday. Appointments are required for Monday visits.
