Parnell Park & Community Center Closure

As of September 2025, Parnell Park, the Storybook Zoo, and the Parnell Park Community & Senior Center are closed for construction as part of the Parnell Park Renovation & Improvement Project.
Estimated reopening: Spring 2027.

Animal Care

Our beloved Storybook Zoo animals are being safely cared for in a secure area of the park, away from construction activity.

Keep Playing, Learning, and Connecting

While Parnell Park and the Community & Senior Center are closed, recreational programs, classes, and senior services continue at our other facilities.
